Seasons, Cycles, and Your Dreams

Dreams and dream cycles can be a direct link to our higher self-aspects. Although it is available, most of us will not achieve instant enlightenment. It is helpful to understand and interpret our dreams to get key insights into what we need to work on in our lives. We need to stay grounded to utilize the guidance as it is given and to integrate it - before we can move forward and onto our next lesson.

Time is a construct that allows us to refine and explore our creative potential. All life, in this reality, is dependent upon the cycles of time and have their seasons.

Like nature - we follow our cycles of learning, integration, growth, and hibernation, and our dreams tend to follow nature’s cycles and seasons throughout the year as well.

We have monthly cycles, yearly cycles, and even seven-year cycles that often build and shifts us into a significantly new path or direction.

Spring and Autumn

Spring and Autumn tend to be periods of accelerated learning; the lessons coming fast, with our heightened sense of energy and anticipation. These seasons can also be the most challenging for us to remember our dreams - particularly if we are not working with them regularly.

From about mid-October through mid-December, the dream state is not as predominant. During this period our dreams are focused on unwinding and integrating the lessons from the preceding growing season.

Summer

The Summer months (approximately June through September) are a continued time of rapid energy and accelerated learning.

Winter

The winter months (Mid October to March) are the time of our deepest spiritual and inner growth, and when we have our clearest and most potent dreams. It is also a good time for us to ask our guides for insight, and for planting seeds to blossom the following Spring.

Remembering our dreams at this time of year comes naturally to us as well, regardless if we are actively working with our dreams or not.

Planetary and Lunar Cycles

Our dreams can also be affected by planetary and lunar cycles. For example, about five days before a full moon our dreams become clearer and stronger, reaching their peak on the full moon.

If we do not ground ourselves, the full moon scatters our energy and our dreams can seem more vivid or stranger than usual. In the repeating cycle of death and rebirth, the full moon represents the initiation phase of death. It is a time of power and high energy, and for harvesting what we have sown since the previous new moon.

The more centered we are entering and during a lunar cycle the less we are affected by outside influences, and the better we can utilize these energies for our higher and best learning and benefit.
